Summary:
Works well for us.
We use for drilling holes in ground around tree (known as vertical mulching) -- see at details by searching our resources at www.executivelawnandtreecare.com
We also use for drilling holes right through tree limbs and trunks for a process known as bracing or cabling - which adds years to the life of a weakened tree!! Strengths:
Fairly compact for gas drill, balanced, more than adequate power. Easy on fuel. Uses same mix as all other Stihl equipment (if you have saws, trimmers, etc).
Reliable, never had one breakdown yet.
Powerful (at least for what we do - see below).
Weaknesses:
Have to replace end chuck to use as earth drill, vs wood drill.
