Summary:
I owe it to Jonsreds to make this statement...I moved onto 160 acres of timber in the Ozarks when I was 25 yrs old....I am 59 now. When I settled into a 14x14 log cabin, with my Stihl 041, I realized that I needed a larger saw.
I bought a pair of Jonsreds 90's....for the steep price of $275 each.The first lasted until about 6 years ago, and now supplies me with spare parts for the second.These saws have been uncommonly reliable, and a pleasure to use. VERY,VERY smooth and fast cutting...I have cared for them well.
I am still felling trees with one of those saws.... I don't push it real hard these days...BUT....last year it sliced through 20 bundles of slabs, about 10 cords of wood, for our shop furnace. Plus, fell about 150 red and white oaks...20" to 34" in diameter for our Mobile Dimension Mill and Furniture shop.
I cannot compliment the Jonsreds line enough.....they are the Mercedes of chain saws. I am not commenting on any particular model in todays line. But, if you need a saw, and can spring for the higher $$$, give these saws a look.
Big Red has been a true friend.

Summary:
Great saw that you can lean on in big wood. I use from 20" to 42" bars.
Strengths:
Good power to weight ratio. Easy to work on and use. Most Husqvarna 385xp parts work on it.
Weaknesses:
Only size upgrade is with Husqvarna 390xp cylinder assembly.
