Summary:
This is a well engineered saw and the engineers should be commended for it. The will last a long time if its taken care of and regular maintenance is performed.
Strengths:
Better than any of the mid range stihl saws, especially when it comes to construction. With the exclusion of the ms 260. The jonsered cs 2152c features a magnesium crankcase that is of the split case design for exceptional durability, low weight, and easier rebuilding, if it ever needs it, which it most likely won't. Maintenance is a snap on this saw. Remove the clamps holding the shroud to access the air filter and spark plug. Cleaning the cylinder fins on this saw is easier than cleaning the fins on somes saws I know, such as the stihl ms 290, ms 310 and the ms 390, as well as some of stihl's homeowner saws. The turbo air cleaning greatly lengthens the time between air filter cleanings. Jonsered also prefers to use steel coil anti vibration mounts as apposed to rubber ones. The benefits, much lower vibration levels tranmitted to the operators hands, not to mention they last longer. The cs 2152c is well balanced saw and is easy to handle. The power to weight ratio is also good on this saw.
Weaknesses:
None, this is a pro saw. The quality of this saw justifies the price.
