Would be inclined to buy stihl next time, even though until this saw we had always been a Husqvarna family.
Strengths:
When new a very powerful saw, yet good on gas.
Weaknesses:
No seal around base of air filter allows fine dust to enter engine. After three years of seasonal cutting the saw is beginning to show a lack of power, even after a trip to the shop. Despite 'Air Injection System' filter blocks much faster than MS441 used in identical environment. Saw delivered new from dealer harder to start than stihl,after emptying tank hot saw is hard to start, so best to stop saw just before tank runs out.

It's my first saw. We burn around 4 cords per year. The 575 has handled every thing from Pine to Ironwood, CA to AZ, since late '05. I've cut, roughly 30 cords w/ this saw. 1-2 cords per gallon of fuel
Strengths:
Dependable, & powerful w/ my 20" bar. Air cleaner easy to change (important.) Low vibration.
Weaknesses:
Heavy. Chain oiler failed in first 10 hours of operation. Replaced under warranty.

Strengths:
A+ performance in every application. I use this saw {with a 32inch bar} for the big jobs only.
Weaknesses:
Expensive replacement parts. I burned up a piston by running lean. $350 to replace cylinder and piston assembly. $150 just for replacing the piston. Not including labor.
Compared to replacing these componets for other husky models, the 575 is EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

very fast saw if u can afford to rebuild it may not get anything faster

cuts very fast nice saw, lower torque than stihl, but seems to cut faster, better for soft wood vs. the stihl
Weaknesses:
in 4 years of fulltime arborist work i have blow 2 and gone through a total of 3 on my 4th now, i run the same gas in my stihl and other saws, stihls are on 2nd and 3rd year this saw hasnt made it past 8 months
