overall: Sucks.
Strengths:
none - unless you think the male directors wearing panty hose is a strength.
Weaknesses:
everything! ESPECIALLY the "customer service" <--- there isn't any. You get passed to some young dumb chick who says: Take it to a dealer. I TOOK it to a dealer before I called. The dealer says: Not under warranty. WTF?? I just BOUGHT it!! I asked "customer service" if they could provide information on the parts - question was met with: Ummm.. could you hold?
WTF?? You don't even know the PRODUCTS YOU ARE CUSTOMER SERVING?? BUY A STIHL!

Summary:
As been working in the woods in Oregon for over 20 years, and most of the time using a Stihl untill two years ago. The Stihls vibrate to the point of them falling apart and are more expensive. I would rate the 460 to the Stihl 044 as far as power and speed.
Strengths:
No Vibration, very easy to start and maintain. The 460 has plenty of power and speed to pull wood from soft woods and hard woods. Husqvarna holds up its name for the guys that depend and make a living with them.
Weaknesses:
A little on the heavy side, but with the power it is well worth it.

Summary:
Great!!!I already owned 2 Husqvarnas. A 16" 345 and a 16" 41. I needed something a little bigger and with a little more power. Most problems with any chainsaw usually comes from "operator error".This translates to some people are just too unqualified and inexperienced (putting it very nicely) to know how to operate a chainsaw.
Strengths:
Easy Start;low vibration;plenty of power

Summary:
Great saw, I can't say enough good about it. I cut about 20 face cords of wood a year. Both of my Husqvarnas ran flawlessly right out of the box.
Strengths:
Easy to start, 2-3 pulls everytime. Plenty of power for a 20 inch bar. I am cutting ash trees that are 18-24 inches or bigger. This saw just cuts thru them in just seconds. Great saw, you can set it down and it will idle for ever. Hit the gas and it just goes. This is my second Husqvarna, I sold a Stihl to get it. I will not buy another Stihl, mine just started hard and would never idle.
Weaknesses:
I haven't found any yet.

Summary:
I love it. I wish my car ran this well.
Strengths:
This saw will go! Easy to start (2 pulls with the choke, 1 to get it going), revs hard, makes quick work of east coast lumber witha 20" bar. I have had no problems with this saw, ever. The negative reviews above can only be from Husky haters.
Weaknesses:
This saw would be on the big side for occasional use. If you plan to use it for yard work or pruning, buy something smaller.

Summary:
Overall I love my husqvarna and she gets the job done everytime I pull her out of my husqvarna powerbox. Good price, reliable atleast mine is, powerful, and buy an XP by all means bc they have better built parts. Happy cutting and be safe y'all!
Strengths:
Bought a 455 XP and it is just awesome. This saw is a beast and will handle anything. Ive cut up maybe 4 cords without a single hiccup. Make sure you break it in nice and slow to let everything mesh together mechanically. I hate all you stupid idiots bagging on husqvarna just bc you like stihl get over yourself. I don't need to drop the extra cash on a stihl to compensate for anything bc my tools get the job done. Little vibration, easy cold starts, and idles so smoothly
Weaknesses:
Ditch the crappy champion spark plug and upgrade it to an E.3 Diamond fire that you can buy at Lowe's pretty cheap, Don't pinch it in a log and stall the thing bc it can be a little bit of a hassle to start it back up after that but no problem it's expected out of a 2 stroke, If you dont know husky chainsaws make sure to DISENGAGE the chainbrake when removing the clutch housing cover bc the thing won't go back on very easily if it isn't, and make sure the two small holes for chain oil supply stay clear of dirt and wood grime bc you will bur up and heat up a chain bar in a hurry and put alot of stress on the motor. She's a little bit of a hog in the fuel management department but not too bad.

Summary:
i got this saw from TSC and i couldnt be happier, im a workin man that has to work my a$$ off to bring in a dollar i got it out the door for 500 an it came with a 24" but i put 20" bar to keep the 2' as back up, oh and the 460 runs the big bar no prob, justa bit slower cuttin but it can an will do it without complaint
everything i siad here is the truth not just brand loyalty or whatnot. if you need a long lasting saw( as my cuzzin had his 4 a longtime w/o any probs at all)with more than enuff power/balance/control/reliability with bout 500 to spend, then this saw will never let you down, an you will so easily smoke a stihl thats comprable in size.
Strengths:
The little fagget writing that shit on here needs to stop suckin their thumb after they finish thumin they ass. im going to find you ya little bitch an im leavin now!
Now im sry to all the mature and respectful folk on here.
Everything of this beautiful saw has been very very well thought out, excells far beyond a comprable stihl. i am not brand bias but i do like superior tools
Weaknesses:
honestly aint had anything to complain about with the saw itself, but the local dealer gives me the impression that hes only there to make money an wont even go an extra inch to help ya out.so thankful that i actually do have a husky so i dont have any problems. the dealer also sells stihl and they all personnaly choose husky as their saw

Summary:
just like my good man up there John very bravely spoke up an told the truth that yes it will turn a 24in bar, yes its a cunt hair slower than a 20 but thats common sense, husky them selves recommends that bein the biggest to run so i respect him for that because he did what your all here to also do, help others that do not own that husqvarna 460 (yet) again with john, i work very hard for all i have as with any workin man, and i was maxed out with the ole lady hollerin to spend 500 on a saw, its very expensive for me, but to anyone in my posistion, an ya can bout afford it, i can honestly tell you, husky made this saw specifically for us, amazing reliability(truth is brandnew 460 way outlasts any 359 an u can ask any dealer thats honest an knows his stuff) with if not the same if not more power than competing saws, you need it now and 6 er 7 years from now, then this really is the right decsion to be made here buy the husky rancher 460, its as close to bullet proof as any saw can be, maybe very slightly heavier but when ur cuttin you never feel it unless for hours.
well i wish anyone here happy shopping, and just dont be deterred by others whos know it all attitudes may ruin it for you. as one who has none, you wont regret spendin this money on by far the best 500(out the door with a 24in bar by the way at tractor supply) ever. im done typing, it has taken me over an hour to type all of this so i only ask that you actually read it haha, and its actually real world truths all of it that i mentioned did not exaggerate or nothing
Strengths:
Lets all be honest here, the guy that posted previous, good man you are!! ya this site is SPECIFICALLY here to SIMPLY help others out, an thats all that we should be doing, this 460, for only 500 bucks, well its absolutly great in almost every way, it is powerful for WHO it was made for so you wanna be pros stop it now. it really is very robustly built, hell i thro her in the bed of my chevy or my arctic cats trailer with hardly an concerns. its meant to be thrown in the tractor bucket in the rain or snow, get to the jobsite, fire up instantly, an rip whatever you need rite the hell up with no complaints whatsoever.
Weaknesses:
you wanna be pros out there talkin such rediculous shit about the 460, i mean come on really??!! if we actually had the dam need for an $850(haha or all that money) we'd prolly have two, but truth is we dont!
this saw has one of the largest fan base of any, whether on here or real world, not because ya spend 500 then she dies or has problems in a month, but (ya you do have to maintain it as with even a poon-ton)because is ALWAYS STARTS an will run untill the gas is empty.it has less HP for the long haul reliability, but brother listen to me if its realistic 4you (big enuff, an YES!!shell run a 2ft bar no problm) it will have way more than enough power.
but you do have to remember to clean out the bar oil tank roughly every month bcuz she will clott up, but yes thats all the 460 is actually noted for on the negative side which is counterd by a good operator correctly maintaining his machine.(just like a wife, if you aint, someone is)haha

Summary:
great dependable saw. Not quite sure why people are complaining, though I have used this for only a year I haven't had any issues. Used it to cut mainly alot of oak, maple (roughly 50+ 30" trees) and a few beach nut. Live in Connecticut. as a comparison for the size it is comfortable, power is great, very dependable. Work with alot of guys who fight over Stihl and Husqvarna's and they all love this saw, it's my go to saw and it sleeps next to Jonsereds and Echo's, so that should say a little
Strengths:
powerful, reliable, It gets the job done as needed. But remember a saw is only as good as the operator. For the size I wouldn't purchase any other saw.
Repair and parts...have need anything other than normal tuneup. Local dealer has everything in stock though. For all the other comments Lowes is a general construction department store, I agree a great place but take it for what it's worth
Weaknesses:
My father keeps stealing it after our fuel ups and leaves me with his larger husky or the Stihl. Maybe a future birthday present for him. Only other weakness is the bad rep this site delivers from a few homeowners or weekend warriors.
