Summary:
have cut many, many cord of wood with mine and it has done the job well. I love my saw, next time i will go a little bigger because of the size of trees i mainly cut.
Strengths:
not too heavy, snappy enough to work all day and get alot of wood cut.
Weaknesses:
cant run too large of a bar without power loss

excellent saw for homeowners
Strengths:
I've been cutting wood since 1973. I have owned many different chainsaws. I purchased the 357XP with a 20" bar 3yrs. ago. It has been the best saw I have ever owned. It starts first or second pull. It has more than enough power. Unbelievable cutting speed.
Weaknesses:
Cheap choke control.

Great saw on the professional level and Super-saw on steroids for the average homeowner.
Strengths:
This saw weighs in the 12lb range. It has the power that comes from saws in the 14 or 15lb range, if you run it all day that's a big plus. I've had mine close to two years and if I had plenty of money I'd go buy another and leave it in the box until this one dies, if it ever does: knock on wood.
Weaknesses:
I too am not fond of the choke system, but if that's all I got to fuss about I'm doing good.

Excellent I cut 25" shag bark hickory which was frozen and gained speed all the way through
Strengths:
I have Dolmar , Stihl ,jonsered the 357 XP blows them away . Easy starting ,very powerful and light.
