Summary:
Did some timed cuts against my 044 Stihl 70cc 19 seconds, CS8000 80cc 14 seconds so the cutting speed is good but it's 3# heavier than the 044

Strengths:
Cuts fast, good torque and built good

Weaknesses:
heavy, around 22# full of fuel and oil with a 22" bar

Summary:
Good saw to hot rod. Swap on a carb from the Quick Vent model. Porting similar to older 056 Stihl. Not super fast out of the box, but can be made to be exceptionally fast with a little work.

Strengths:
Built like a brick house. All metal covers, metal pull start rope drum, two piece metal flywheel/cooling fan. Runs closed transfers that are actually fairly large. Exhaust opens at 105 degrees past top dead center. Cuts at 9-10k rpm. Light vibration, easy to start.

Weaknesses:
A couple of extra pounds. Large squish band.

Summary:
Two year use report; One of the best saws in our fleet. Has not required any service other than new air and fuel filters which are changed out each spring. Also, needed to replace a broken chain brake handle, but that was an operator error.

Strengths:
Easy to start. Well built, no stripped out threads or broken fastners from vibration or take down for cleaning. Good power. Quiet. Good balance. Low vibration due to rubber mounted crankcase. Auxillary thumb pump oiler for dry or pitchy wood. Non limited ignition makes it easy to tune for different elevations. Easy to find service for.

Weaknesses:
No full wrap handle bar available.

Summary:
They are great saws. Tip: Mix a little cam2 in your fuel to make it run cooler and it keeps it from vaporlocking in high tempuratures because of the cheap gas.

Strengths:
They are a good running saw. I bought my first one, and it was a John Deere EV80. Since then, I have bought 2 CS-8000. I think they are a great saw. I think that they are fast and well built compared to other saws i have owned. I used alot of other brand name saws and i'll keep my Echos.

Weaknesses:
They are a little cranky when they are cold.

Summary:
Over all i have ran most brands of saws but like this one the most. If you are looking for a low maintainance saw, any of Echo product's are a sure bet. If you still are not sure, i can tell you this, i looked at the place where i bought my saws and seen what they had there being fixed out of all the saws 1 Echo was there. Oh by the way, it fell out of pickup on the interstate and was found later a bit scratched, but it ran. I sincerely hope that you go to a dealer and ask them about the saw that would best fit you. OVER ALL GREAT SAW, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Strengths:
I found the cs-530 and the cs-8000 easy starting, relible, easy to run,but most of all was the location. I live only 1.5 miles from where i got both saws. The customer service is awesome. I will easily get another from them due to the high rating of the saw and customer service.

Weaknesses:
The saw is a bit heavy compared to other brands. If i might say i did not buy it for the weight of it, i bought it for the long life span on it , so the weight is a weakness? I leave it up to you.

Summary:
I will never by another brand again!!! I can't wait to see what else Echo brings into the industry!!!

Strengths:
I have used Stihl, Husky's, McCulloch, Homelite, Dolmar, Johnsred, and Echo. I have 8 different Echo products, I have even emptied out my garage of all the other saw brands that I used to use. I have not found a better running saw, my 2- CS8000's can't be beaten, I love the power to weight ratio and the balance of them. My CS510 is an awesome mid size saw( I have had it for 8 years now with no major repairs - bars + filters). I also have a CS-330T(14 inch bar) + CS-360T(16 inch bar) for climbing, which keep getting used by the die hard Stihl climbers any time I sub for another service. The price compared to Stihl + Husky's are hands down unbeatable!!!!

Weaknesses:
In 9 years of business I have not found any!!!! I retired my last non Echo 5 years ago, now there is no other brand I would even think of buying!!!! Is there an Echo out there or coming out that will run larger than a 36 inch bar???????

Summary:
I like this saw for my big saw. I will grab this saw over my stihl 076 all day long. I can't complain one bit. Have sold other saw to replace with echo. I cut wood for extra money on the weekends and my echo saws havent failed me yet. Hands down the best saws I own. I never have had to worry about them not wanting to start or set them down and die, Hang it off the belt and climb the tree and she still is running when you get to the top.

Strengths:
i feel it is easy starting, easy to throw around with a 36 in bar. PLEANTY of power for the weight and size. It can take a 20 ft fall out of a tree, break off the kick back handle, stay running and keep on cutting. Handles a 36 in bar better than a sthil 076 with 111cc.

Weaknesses:
Dont't try working it until it gets warmed up a little bit.

Summary:
Good saw, little heavy but that is what makes it bulletproof.

Strengths:
Fast cutting saw. Good torque.

Weaknesses:
Could use a bigger air filter. This and all saws should quit using peanut plugs. Use a standard size. Stihl and Husky are easier to adjust chains. Can be finnicky to start if don't follow ritual.
